Robert S. Frankel, Esq.

Robert S. Frankel, a founding partner of Cohen and Frankel, LLP, handles hundreds of real estate transactions each year representing both sellers and purchasers of cooperatives, condominiums, townhomes, and houses. He also specializes in commercial transactions that involve properties ranging from mixed use locations to apartment buildings, as well as landlords and tenants in commercial leases, and issues pertaining to cooperative law. As part of his New York City real estate practice, Mr. Frankel forms, incorporates, and organizes corporations, limited liability corporations (LLCs), and other legal entities for domestic investors and foreign nationals.

Mr. Frankel began his career as a general practitioner specializing in landlord/tenant, real estate, matrimonial, family, trusts and estates, and general civil litigation. He parlayed this background into expertise in real estate law aspects of multiple dwellings, including the impact of rent control and rent stabilization laws on commercial real estate transactions.

A graduate of SUNY at Stonybrook, Mr. Frankel received his Juris Doctor from Cardozo School of Law. He is admitted to the New York State Bar and New Jersey Bar, as well as the Southern District and Eastern District of New York. Mr. Frankel is a member of the Bar Association of the City of New York and the New York State Bar Association.

Mr. Frankel is on the Advisory Board at the Valley National Bank. He wrote a monthly column for the Mann Report, a publication on residential real estate in New York City. Mr. Frankel teaches in the training program for the Corcoran Group/Citihabitats.
